The most important part of any realtor's job description is to find out about you (what the perfect property is to you based on your needs and wants, what type of surroundings you feel most comfortable in, how you like to spend your leisure time,etc.) and use that information to present properties that are most likely to be a fit. Most people just aren't comfortable sharing information unless they know who they're dealing with, so here are some fast facts about me:

* I grew up in Richmond, Virginia, which is similar to Charlotte in many ways.

* Between 1987 and 2000, I lived in 10 different states.  I know what it's like to relocate!

* I've personally bought 9 houses and sold 8.  I've personally owned a HUD home, a condo, new construction, a 100 year old home, a split, a ranch and some two stories.  I know what buyers and sellers feel.

* I have relocated with kids and multiple pets.  I've felt the anxiety about finding my way around, choosing and acclimating the kids into new schools with new friends, figuring out the commute time, and timing the whole move, including both closings.

* Professionally, I have an AA in Liberal Arts from Cottey College and a BS in Home Economics from the University of Missouri at Columbia, with a strong background in marketing. I spent 2 years in retail management, 9 years with a manufacturer's representative company in inside sales and then as full-charge bookkeeper and office manager, two other stints as office and telemarketing manager, 10 years as a stay-at-home mom (and, apparently, professional move coordinator), and 2 years as an event planner. I had my own business as a homestager (A Change of Seen, Inc.), and then I decided that what I was really suited to, what all this experience had led to, was to be a realtor. I was a realtor for three years in Montclair, NJ, but I just have the south in my blood, so I chose Charlotte out of about 5 places I considered, and I'm happy about it every single day!

Now in Charlotte since 2006, I feel as though I've been here all my life, except that I don't take it for granted!  I have a love of Charlotte history, the neighborhoods, the growing diversity, and the underlying feel of the old south that will never completely disappear.

It's easy to know who I am, because I'm upfront, so it is easy to keep all the attention and focus on what you need. A move is one of the most stressful life events, and my job is to try and de-stress the process so that you can achieve your goals in the most advantageous way possible.

There are aspects of real estate sales that seem pretty simple. There are many elements of a smooth transaction, however, that are complicated and daunting.

While today’s homebuyers and homesellers are more informed than ever, they still want impeccable service and need expert knowledge.  I know what it’s like to go through “the process” on your side of the table, and can guide you through with expertise and professionalism.
